TRADE: New Jersey traded Richard Jefferson to Milwaukee for Bobby Simmons
and Yi Jianlian.
James Jones (****) elected to opt-out of his contract and is now a free
agent.
Grant Hill (Pho) elected not to opt-out of his contract and,thus, remains
signed through 08-09.
The NBA held the 2008 draft.
a) TRADE: Minnesota traded Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker, Greg Buckner, and
the draft rights to #3 O.J. Mayo to Memphis for Mike Miller, Brian
Cardinal, Jason Collins, and the draft rights to #5 Kevin Love.
b) TRADE: New Orleans traded the draft rights to #27 Darrell Arthur to
****tland for cash.
c) TRADE: In a 3-team trade, ****tland traded the draft rights to #27
Darrell Arthur and the draft rights to #33 Joey Dorsey for the draft
rights to #25 Nicolas Batum; Houston traded the draft rights to #25
Nicolas Batum for the draft rights to #28 Donte Green, the draft rights to
#33 Joey Dorsey, and a 2009 2nd round draft pick from Memphis; and Memphis
traded a 2009 2nd round draft pick for the draft rights to #27 Darrell
Arthur.
d) TRADE: Detroit traded the draft rights to #29 D.J. White to Seattle for
the draft rights to #32 Walter Sharpe and the draft rights to #46 Trent
Plaisted.
e) TRADE: Minnesota traded the draft rights to #34 Mario Chalmers to Miami
for 2 future 2nd round draft picks and cash.
f) TRADE: In a 3-team trade, Chicago traded the draft rights to #39 Sonny
Weems and 2 future 2nd round draft picks for the draft rights to #36 Omer
Asik; ****tland traded the draft rights to #36 Omer Asik for a 2009 2nd
round draft pick from Denver and 2 future 2nd round draft picks from
Chicago; and Denver traded a 2009 2nd round draft pick for the rights to
#39 Sonny Weems.
g) TRADE: San Antonio traded the draft rights to #45 Goran Dragic to
Phoenix for the draft rights to #48 Malik Hairston, Golden State's 2009
2nd round draft pick (which Phoenix owned), and cash.
h) TRADE: Wa****ngton traded the draft rights to #47 Bill Walker to Boston
for cash.
i) TRADE: Miami traded the draft rights to #52 Darnell Jackson to
Cleveland for a 2009 2nd round draft pick.
j) TRADE: ****tland traded the draft rights to #55 Mike Taylor to the LA
Clippers for a 2009 2nd round draft pick.
k) TRADE: Seattle traded the draft rights to #56 Sasha Kaun to Cleveland
for cash.
