The officials homered Orlando badly at the end of the 3rd Q last
night, allowing a critical 3-pointer that PROBABLY came after 5.1
seconds.
The scorer, a Detroit official, probably failed to start the clock in
order to give the Pistons more time.
But regardless, the OBVIOUSLY correct call in that situation would
have been to just re-set the clock to 5.1 seconds and run the play
over.
Instead, the refs just awarded Detroit a 3, and gave Orlando no time
to effectively respond.
What a crock...
