News from April 3.

The NBA suspended Kenyon Martin (Den) for 1 game for collecting his 5th
flagrant foul point of the season (an automatic suspension).

The NBA announced the divisional winners for the S****tsman****p Award.  The
winners are Shane Battier (Hou), Brandon Roy (****), Grant Hill (Pho),
Antawn Jamison (Was), Antonio McDyess (Det), and Chris Bosh (Tor).  One 
player from each team was nominated for the award and 5 former players 
(Mike Bantom, Eddie Johnson, Satch Sanders, Kenny Smith, Steve Smith) 
selected the divisional winners.  The overall winner of the S****tsman****p 
Award will be selected from the 6 divisional winners.

Shawn Marion (Mia) is expected to miss the last 7 games of the season with
an injured left foot.

Seattle signed Ronald Dupree to a 10-day contract and elected not to
signed Eddie Gill to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Seattle assigned Mouhamed Sene to the NBADL.

Chicago activated Shannon Brown and placed Cedric Simmons on IL.

Cleveland activated Ben Wallace and placed Lance Allred on IL.

Houston activated Loren Woods and placed Rafer Alston on IL with a sore
left hamstring.

Ryan Anderson (sophomore, California, forward) declared himself eligible
for the NBA draft.

Luol Deng (Chi) had 15 points including 7-11 FG.
Larry Hughes (Chi) had 25 points including 11-17 FG, 8 rebounds, 9
assists, and 5 turnovers.
Ben Gordon (Chi) had 24 points including 7-11 FG.
LeBron James (Cle) had 33 points including 10-14 FT and 5 rebounds.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Cle) had 23 points and 7 rebounds including 5
offensive.

Hou 95, **** 86  at ****
Tracy McGrady (Hou) had 35 points including 4-6 3-pointers, 6 rebounds, 
and 5 assists.
Dikembe Mutombo (Hou) had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Aaron Brooks (Hou) had 12 points.
LaMarcus Aldridge (****) had 23 points.
Jarrett Jack (****) had 19 points.
Brandon Roy (****, strained right groin) and Martell Webster (****, flu-like
symptoms) did not play.

Sac 110, LAC 98  at Sac
Mikki Moore (Sac) had 16 points including 7-8 FG and 5 rebounds.
Kevin Martin (Sac) had 26 points including 4-5 3-pointers.
Francisco Garcia (Sac) had 17 points including 7-9 FG.
Corey Maggette (LAC) had 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 turnovers.
Nick Fazekas (LAC) had 18 points including 7-10 FG.
Tim Thomas (LAC, sore Achilles tendon) and Cuttino Mobley (LAC, heel 
injury) did not play.
