After last night I have given up and am looking toward the draft. I
figure we will pick 12th or so. Here is a list of players that were
drafted in 10-13 spots over the last couple years.
2006
10 Seattle Supersonics Saer Sene (Senegal)
11 Orlando Magic J.J. Redick (Duke)
12 N.O./Oklahoma City Hornets Hilton Armstrong (UConn)
13 Philadelphia 76ers Thabo Sefolosha (Switzerland)
2005
10 LA Lakers Andrew Bynum, St. Joseph (NJ) HS
11 Orlando Magic Fran Vazquez, Spain
12 LA Clippers Yaroslav Korolev, CSKA Moscow
13 Charlotte Bobcats Sean May, North Carolina
2004
Cleveland Luke Jackson | F | 6-7 | 215
Golden State Andris Biedrins | F | 6-11 | 240
Seattle Robert Swift | C | 7-0 | 245
****tland Sebastian Telfair | G | 6-0 | 165
2003
10. Wa****ngton -- Jarvis Hayes, f, Georgia
11. Golden State -- Mickael Pietrus, g-f, Pau Orthez (France)
12. Seattle -- Nick Collison, f, Kansas
13. Memphis (from Houston) -- Marcus Banks, g, UNLV
Lets face it no real big names. From 2003 Peitrus is doing pretty well
in GS and is Biedrins their pick in 2004. 2005 the Lakers got Bynum
and bobcats got Sean May, and from last year there is no one that
really contributes (yet). I think we need to use the pick and trade it
away for a vet. We wont get a good big man, and we have enough 1-2-3
players (many who are under used anyway).
So here is my two cents, throw the season, rest bibby and miller and
let them heal. Play Garcia and Douby more to help them develop. Use
this 12th pick to trade for a reliable big man that will help right
away.
I have no suggestions on what to do with Artest... (trade?)
