Still going just by boxes and recaps but things are looking worse and
worse:
--The top three front court players: Evans: 0-5, Booth 0-1, Smith
0-7. 0-13? Really? And against Wa****ngton's weak frontcourt? It
surely must be some sign of the apocalypse if Dalembert must be looked
on as an offensive salve.
--Iguodala: 11fga in 29 minutes for 13 points. Still not nearly good
enough. 3 boards, 6 ast, and 3 steals though which is good so the all
around potential seems to still be there.
-- Korver: 4-5fg in 20 minutes in his return. Welcome back. With
Iguodala (Williams is still pending), the only decent offensive player
on the team. For lack of other options, he could conceivably approach
being a 20ppg scorer.
--Williams had what seems like a more reasonable line: 4-9 for 13 pt,
3 ast, 4 reb in 23 minutes. Going back to summer league. his
rebounding numbers are pretty good for his slight build.
--Speaking of rebounding: Herbert Hill: 6 offensive boards in 13
minutes. It's probably indicative of the atrocious shooting but so
far I like him best among the rookies. I know I've been trying to be
optimistic about Young--and still want him to get as many significant
minutes as possible--but obviously he is still developing. Hill looks
the most ready among the rookies and should probably start getting
some of Smith's time.
