ORLANDO - Orlando Magic guard Steve Francis was part of a brawl early
Sunday morning at a Wa****ngton, D.C., restaurant and nightclub that
sent three men to George Wa****ngton University Hospital.
No charges have been filed against Francis and he is not under
investigation, according to a spokesman at the Wa****ngton, D.C., Police
Department. Francis' agent, Jeff Fried, admitted the incident took
place but said that the Magic guard did not participate.
Francis attended the Mike Tyson-Kevin McBride boxing match Saturday
night in Wa****ngton and was at a post-fight party at Zanzibar On the
Waterfront when the fracas started.
"There was one guy in there hassling Steve and a bottle was thrown at
Steve," Fried said. "His security detail moved Steve out of there. One
of the alleged victims is alleging that Steve was involved, but that's
not the case. Steve was rushed out of there as soon as it started and
taken back to his hotel."
