``It feels good to get my first triple-double in the NBA because I got it
out of the way and it shows you're playing a team game,'' Wade said.
``And,
it feels good to beat the Pistons because I haven't done that in my young
career.''
O'Neal played with Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles and Penny Hardaway in
Orlando,
but said neither matched up with Wade at this point in their careers.
``He's the best second-year pupil that I've had,'' O'Neal said. ``I've
raised two great ones in my NBA lifetime and this guy is the best in his
second year.''
``We had control and we lost it,'' Ben Wallace said. ``This is one of
those
games we will talk about for a while.''
``There's a reason we are 15-13,'' Pistons coach Larry Brown said. ``We
don't share the ball and we don't do the little things that we did last
year
and that is why we are where we are.''
``I missed shots I normally make, then Flash saved the day,'' O'Neal said,
referring to Wade. ``Flash is an MVP candidate.''
Van Gundy said Wade's performance was incredible.
``To have that kind of night, with that kind of efficiency, against a
great
defensive team like that shows you what kind of player he has become,'' he
said.
``Shaq gave us a huge lift in the third and then our defense shut them
down
in the fourth,'' Van Gundy said. ``That's what we do.''
