Heat buzz: The Nets, who played the Heat on Saturday, were incredulous
that
Alonzo Mourning voiced suspicions -- according to S****ts Illustrated --
that
New Jersey played him a lot early last season to break down his body, so
he
would retire and come off their salary cap. The Nets know Zo can be
sensitive. Noting Zo's at his best in seven-minute spurts, C Jason Collins
quickly added, ''I'm sure he'll tell you he's fine. I'm not questioning
you,
Zo.'' . . . We hear Pat Riley lashed out at his team about conditioning
and
body fat, threatening to de-activate players who don't shape up. . . .
Expect the Hawks to talk to Miami about impending free agent PG Tony Delk,
who's pu****ng for a trade because Atlanta hasn't played him. Riley has

he wants a shooter if he adds a veteran third point guard.
