I'm sure you're right about coaching, others have pointed out that
teams turn up the intensity in the 4th quarter of an NBA game and the
Wolves can't keep up. I'm just not convinced that a different coach
is going to get vastly more out of a bunch of young guys who have very
little experience at this level, or were rotting in another screwed up
organization in Boston. Our veteran option at point guard isn't sure
which way his jersey goes on FFS.
Maybe somebody else would get them to progress faster, but somehow I
doubt that a mid-season replacement could do much but lower our draft
position. I can't imagine anybody any good is going to come out of
retirement to coach a team whose best option against a dominant center
is to have Mark Madsen jam his forehead into the small of the guy's
back for a couple quarters.
