Herb Kohl, if he is still interested in owning the Bucks and wants them to
become a consistant winner, he needs to find a new general manager. The
Bucks need one of those Ron Wolf/Doug Melvin type guys. The person who
knows
how to build an organization from bottom to top, has full authority to run
the whole operation, and is a strong leader. Larry Harris has been all
over
the place in his decision making and things just are not working out. Bad
free agent signings, bad trades, bad decisions with the coaching staff,
and
maybe a little bad luck. But this team is dysfunctional, and he is the guy
responsible for putting it together. Larry's father, Del Harris, was also
a
poor GM. He couldn't handle superstars and put together mediocre teams in
Milwaukee that got blown out in the playoffs. Kohl needs to turn
basketball
decisions over to an experienced, no- nonsense basketball man. It will
take
a lot of money to lure someone like that to Milwaukee but I am afraid that
is what it will take. The problem is that the Bucks were a consistant
winner
before Kohl bought the team, and have been a pretty consistant loser ever
since.
