Pacers didn't make the playoffs in a long time and Tinsley and O'Neil
didn't even play in the last two games. Have we seen the last of
these two in Indy?
My thoughts are they will deal Tinsley and keep O'Neil. Foster may be
cut lose and possibly Harrison. I think they'll stay with the 4 guys
they got in a trade this season for one more season to see if it will
work or not. I really like Dunleavy's game at small forward. Murphey
should be coming off the bench. McCleod should get better at point
with more time, which he might get if Tinsley is sent packing. Ike
Diougu is also a solid player. One of the things Jermaine commented
on at the season ending press conference was the mix of young guys and
veternas on the team. They are young guy heavy at the moment and I
think that will change. I also think, sadly, that Coach Carlisle will
be cut lose. He's done a great job with the Pacers, this season
notwithstanding, but I think Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh will want
some new blood on the end of the bench. I just hope it isn't
Musselman who was fired by the Kings.
It should be an interesting off-season for the Pacers no matter what
they do.
