Good grief, Orlando just made it out of the first round for the first
time in team history, by beating a team that (I believe) has never
made it out of the first round, and suddenly they are the next
Showtime Lakers?
Orlando is a good solid team: Howard is, obviously, a stud; speaking
as someone who had Hedo T. on my NBA fantasy team, I think he deserves
his Most Improved player award; and Rashard Lewis has skills also.
But let's not get carried away. They still play Carlos Arroyo and
Maurice Evans, for gosh sakes. Detroit will have to play better and
more consistently to beat the Magic in the next round (assuming
Detroit gets past Philly), but I still believe they will.
Boston's struggles with Atlanta are arguably stranger than Detroit's
struggles with Philly, but that's why you play the games. -- Joe
