Nugs are better than they were the last few years, but not good enough.
Same end result. Damn. Had control of the game for almost 3 and a half
full quarters last night. Then boom, it was gone. Big, obvious
differences: San Antonio's experience, depth and outside shooting.
Off-season focus for the Nugs has to be on getting a few veterans who can
come in off the bench and shoot the rock. JR, LK and Blake have been
throwing up bricks.
Positives this year: Nene's emergence as a force inside, AI giving the
Nugs
two legitimate superstars and scorers, team coming around near the end of
the season and, for the most part, in the playoffs to play a more complete
game, Camby's unusually healthy year and outstanding D and rebounding.
And
yet, here we are staring at 5 games and done, AGAIN. Crud. Given any
opponent other than San Antonio, we might be looking at a real series
here.
But man do they have our number.
