I went to Duarte's back in 1994. I was on a month-long drive across
the West, and was driving up Highway 1 to San Francisco, to spend a
few days with a friend. The pies were so highly recommended that
instead of ordering lunch and dessert, I ordered three slices of pie.
They did not disappoint.
