To be honest, I'm amazed that Thomas was mentally close enough to
being a high school graduate. Maybe a lot of it is because he is
so young, but he doesn't come across as being very smart.
Rumors on the Score were that Thomas blew off practice as a
protest over his lack of playing time. Somebody needs to start
giving this kid better advice. He has had a terrible work ethic
since Day One, he is terribly inconsistent when on the court, he
seems lackadaisical at times, he has a surly attitude toward the
media and he just doesn't seem to get it.
If the Bulls had a leader on the team, then that guy could take
Tyrus aside and maybe straighten him out. You know that MJ
wouldn't have put up with this kind of stuff. But the Bulls
don't have anyone with that kind of attitude or status.
If Pax has plans for Thomas to be with the Bulls next year, he
better get a head coach that can whip Thomas into shape. I'm
just not sure that anybody can do it because Tyrus knows he'll
get at least one more decent contract and he'll never have to
work a real job if spends his money wisely. What's Eddie
Robinson doing these days?
