was Griff smacking into a wandering TT (looking away from the play,
off into the stands "Mom? Mo-o-o-om?) as they awkwardly pursued a ball
that subsequently rolled out of bounds.

I recall listening to games like this on WIND in 1979, wondering how
Larry Costello kept from going Ricky Birdsong and just wandering up
into the stands in Kansas City to chat about the weather with a fan
while Charles Dudley dribbled one off his foot and the Reggeroo
neatened his mustache with his tiny fingers instead of playing
defense.
