no one takes the cavs defense seriously. the pistons still think they
should have won in 2007.

using actual stats and numbers, the cavs rank #1 for playoff defense
in recent history.in 2007, cavs opponents in general had pretty
miserable offensive stats in the 4th quarter, the point being that the
numbers suggest that it's not a fluke. the big trade improved the team
talentwise, but between the trade and certain injuries it's taken time
for the team defense to gel this season.

as for the celtics offensive woes, as great as garnett, allen and
pierce are as players, i don't think that any of them have actually
won a second round series. being there before does make a difference.
